Newcomers’ DIVISION

Meets monthly on the 3rd Thursday from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM 

•During your first two years of University Club (UC) membership, you are automatically enrolled in its Newcomers’ Division

•Our meetings are designed to help you meet new friends while participating in a variety of fun activities and/or educational programs.

•Watch for a Newcomers email the second week of each month containing program details for the upcoming meeting.

•UC Newcomers are encouraged to participate in additional University Club activities and interest groups.

 Fall, winter, and spring meetings are held in the lower level of the Coralville Public Library (unless otherwise announced).

 Summer meetings (June, July, and August) are held at (Iowa City) City Park. Bring your own beverage and join us!

November 20: Iowa City Senior Center Offerings. Senior Center Program Director Michelle Buhman will share what’s happening at the

 ICSC and how we can participate.

Upcoming Meeting Themes: 

•December 18: A White Elephant Holiday. Find an item in your home that has been begging for a new owner, wrap it, and join us for a fun and festive gift exchange.

• January 15: Games, Games, Games. Learn a new game or play your favorite game while socializing with other Newcomers. 

•February 19: Cookie Exchange. Bring a plate of sweet treats to exchange and enjoy with others. (Our Bingo cards may be planning a surprise appearance!)
